When you have a USB flash that keeps all of your important documents, you may consider using the password protect to ensure that all of your work is kept private especially if you should lose the drive. In some cases the USB flash drive is very small and can easily be misplaced, in this case you don't want all of your files to be in the hands of someone else. However, by simply using the password protect, your information is locked away from the prying eyes of others with a password only you have.
Using password protect is fairly easy, the process is called "Folder Lock", which is a very quick method of protecting your USB drive. It requires only a few quick steps to ensure that your information is safely protected.
The first step is to plug your USB flash drive into your computer, and then you will want to run the Folder Lock program and click on the tab listed as "New". Next you will click your browse button and find the path marked USB Drive, and then you will be directed to enter the files and the folders you want to have protected. After you have done this you will then simply click on the button marked "Encrypt Now" and your files are now encrypted.
The next step after you have done this is to simply use the "click to protect" button and make a password in the section that pops up and says "set a new password" Using this quick and easy process allows you to protect your information without some complicated programs and to keep your work private.
